Specialty Model
Intravaginal Infection Model
Intravaginal infection models for evaluating therapies targeting genitourinary and mucosal pathogens
Intravaginal infection models establish mucosal infection to evaluate antimicrobial and antifungal efficacy against pathogens relevant to genitourinary and reproductive-tract infection. The controlled mucosal challenge allows clear measurement of colonization and treatment response.
These models support development of therapies for conditions such as vulvovaginal candidiasis and bacterial vaginosis-associated organisms.
Applications
- Mucosal infection efficacy testing
- Antifungal evaluation (e.g. Candida)
- Topical and systemic therapy assessment
- Colonization and burden endpoints
Customized to your program
Like all of our in vivo work, this model is tailored to your compound, route of administration, dosing regimen, and the specific endpoints your program requires. We will work with you to design a study that answers your scientific questions and stands up to regulatory scrutiny.
